Announcing our new affiliate program!

Hey everyone! I'm super excited to announce the launch of our new affiliate program!

It's new for a couple reasons I'll explain below but yes we did previously have a referral program. We actually had over 230 people sign up as affiliates and nearly half of them referred at least 1 customer. On the contrary that means we had over 100 people that signed up and never referred a single customer. Also, our average number of sales from our affiliates was about 3 and just one person referred more than 10.

Ultimately the success of the program is on me. Admittedly I didn't spend too much time on our program after the initial setup. I didn't talk to affiliates and see what they wanted, I didn't ask them if they had enough resources to be successful, and overall I just didn't put my time into the project.

HOWEVER, 2020 is a new year and this is something I'm jazzed about. I want this new program to absolutely blow those previous numbers out of the water. A couple things we're doing different this time:

- We're paying 20% recurring commissions for every sale you make from your referral link. And the 20% recurring commission is for the LIFETIME of the account. Previously we were paying 10% commission to start and then it scaled up to 20% as the volume increased. We also previously would cut off the commission payments after 2 years. This time we're starting at 20% and paying out commissions for as long as the customer is active with PhoneWagon.- We've switched backend platforms. We're now using a platform called First Promoter which was designed for SaaS businesses. It's super easy to use and I'm excited for everyone to check it out!- More time investment. I'm committed to making our affiliate program a wild success and will be spending a lot of time working with affiliates to figure out how we can make them successful. This means more assets, more ideas, more content, etc. This will be a high priority for me.I'm definitely looking for help to make the program a success.
