Text notifications for new leads in webflow

Earlier today I wrote an article about how to get text message notifications for new leads from your unbounce landing pages. This allows you to instantly notify the client with a text whenever someone fills out the form on their website or landing page. The information from the form will be in the text message and your client can tap on the phone number to give them a call instantly. No more losing leads because of delayed response times. I'm going to quickly go over how you can set this up with your Webflow landing pages as well. I've included an interactive exercise at the end where you can go to a site that I own and test it out yourself and receive a text message instantly for a form you fill out.Let me show you how it works:

Step 1: Create a zap in zapier

Ultimately, this is what your zap will look like:

Just like in my previous post, you MUST accept this invite-only link to enable our SMS zap that will be used in the second part of this.

Now let's create the zap.

Step 2: Start with the trigger zap- "Form Submission in Webflow"

Choose App: WebflowChoose Trigger Event: Form SubmissionChoose Account: Sync your Webflow account hereCustomize Submission: Site Name: Select your webflow site name / projectForm Name: choose your formFind data: confirm it’s pulling data

Step 3: Add Action Zap: "Send SMS in PhoneWagon Access (1.0.30)"

Choose App: PhoneWagon Access (1.0.30)Choose Action Event: Send SMSChoose Account: Add new account Get your API client ID and API Secret ID by clicking top right corner in PhoneWagon account and then clicking the gear icon to go to settings

Navigate to General and then grab your client ID and secret ID:

Now go to Customize SMS

Recipient Number: This is the CLIENT’S number that you want to receive the text messages for the new leads. Enter in this format: +16355355189Sender number: This is where you can choose any of your PhoneWagon numbers to send the text message notification from. You can even create a new number in your PhoneWagon account that is designed just to send these notifications. Text: This is where you can customize your text message.

Here’s how I customized my text message notifications:

Notice that I manually typed “Email:” and then I used the “insert data” from the webflow form so it populates with that information for each form submission. After you customize your text, make sure to hit "TEST AND CONTINUE" to confirm it’s working (you'll need to have some data in the form to do a test). After you do the test, click “done editing” and turn on your zap. You’re done!

Here's the text message notification we just setup:

*BONUS* --> Want to test this out yourself?

I made a landing page where you can fill out a small form and you'll receive the text message as if you were the client! Here's how to test it out:

Step 1: Go to https://www.plumbers-new-york.com/

Step 2: Fill out the form and press "submit"

Step 3: Receive text message!

Note that you enter YOUR phone number in the top field. This is going to be where we send the text notification. Then fill out the other 2 fields as if you're a lead looking for a plumbing company. Boom - you get a text instantly when the form is submitted!

Hope this is helpful!

As always, if you want to signup for a free trial of our software and test this out yourself, you can do so with this link: https://web.phonewagon.com/signup
