We’re seeking an incredibly motivated and ambitious individual that can serve on the frontline of our marketing and sales efforts to prospect, identify qualified leads, and generate interest in PhoneWagon.
PhoneWagon is looking for a creative and resourceful video editor/content producer who can create compelling videos (and written content / images) for all of our social channels along with our blog. This candidate must be a native of the digital and pop cultural landscapes with intimate knowledge of the latest and greatest in social media and emerging technology/platforms. She or he must love to experiment, be a multitasker that can tackle any deadline, and be budget conscious. The ideal candidate has a background in independent video production and genuinely believes the internet and social media platforms are amazing places full of creative people doing incredible things.
This job is based in New York and we offer competitive compensation.
There will be 5 pieces of content produced weekly:
3 videos: These will help connect us with prospects and customers and share what we’re doing
Podcast: We will post one podcast interview per week
Blog post: We will produce and post one written blog post per week. These mostly will be case study formats and tips and tricks on how to grow a business.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the photography of on-camera interviews, sketches, or thoroughly-lit scenes.
Scouting locations to provide photography-based input
Operating a camera on set as well as setting lights
Implementing basic special effects: keying, motion tracking, etc.
Facilitating conversations that help smooth the processes between creative intentions and end results
Create, shoot, edit, and produce videos for any one of PhoneWagon’s social or web pages
A love of experimentation and trying to tell stories in new and different ways
Make creative, fun, and social-driven videos that people will like and share
Generate ideas for, and experiment with, new formats and content types
Keep track of viral trends across all verticals, create content around them, and analyze the results of your work
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience with all forms of video production and equally proficient with a DSLR as a mobile phone
Strong passion for social media and all things internet (writing skills a plus)
Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere pro, Photoshop etc. -- After Effects skills a plus)
A scrappy competitive drive -- you enjoy winning and really going for it no matter what tools you are provided with
Ability to work on your own as well as in small teams
Proven experience leading a small team or short term initiative
Organized with your time and a solid understanding of how long your projects will take
A positive, curious, playful disposition
A team-oriented leader who also works well independently
