Vlog #31: Is the vlog working??

We disclosed our revenue for the first time in this vlog.

Ryan: What's up guys, it is Monday morning. Today we have a mass - day, we have a ton of like demos and stuff on the calendar. We came off of two back-to-back really big weeks, thousand dollars in new - added or each of the past two weeks. We're looking to do it again, we're looking to double it this week if possible. We have a lot of cool stuff, Nick is actually working back from delaware now so he's on the office with us but so that was really cool to have him around for the past couple weeks. And we actually have a KPI meeting today that ready to go over with the TechStars guys and then we're just going to be like heads down doing demos talking to customers. And I'm really going to be focusing a lot on marketing, getting a tracking where I get a website up-- My name is Ryan Shank, this is our journey building phone wagon from the ground up no outside funding whatsoever. We're going through TechStars in New York City, I hope you guys are out there working hard; being Pioneers, being Wagoneers; welcome to the vlog.

Ryan: Do you see that email from the guy that I foward to you or did I just...the screenshot of it. ...needs report card and integration but like seriously this is my- this is what I think the...like he...I did a demo with them, I like LinkedIn in front of them but what I'm thinking now is that like on my LinkedIn I should have like a banner in my face with new videos every day. I didn't actually think about this before but I think what I hit them on LinkedIn and then it basically cross promotes to the YouTube channel so that - get LinkedIn - like what in these videos. And they watch the videos where - go like oh wow these guys definitely actually like grinding and hustling. ...like what's on your YouTube videos appreciate the - can you give me a code is in a group a thousand entrepreneurs and I was like yeah.

Ryan: All right so these are our numbers, our KPI updates for the week. So we had nine hundred and seventy two dollars in new MRR added; last week we had a thousand ninety nine the week before. So we're averaging thousand net new MRR per week right now, we added seven new paying customers which is up from three new paying customers the previous week and we're growing about 30% week over week right now. We're currently at four thousand four hundred fifty dollars in MRR we should pass, we should be at 6k by the end of next week. And then they like want to be involved, [??? 2:27] it’s like a store...get behind you know want to like I want to help out because I see if they're like trying. One we’re not half-assing and then we're not pushing out - products. Like I feel like today I also sent an email out that I felt was pretty genuine to a guy today and I was like...very transparent like I want to - your business. Tell me what I have to do, - like I will go above and beyond in order to win like I will build what you need inside of your account. like I want to win--

[...to push other people like maybe people that say send me some information--]

Ryan: No like - basically [??? 3:02]

[Maybe we should like link to the video and like those emails that you send to people…]

Ryan: I mean the one thing that - can be interesting is like when they’re - pager especially if they're like a gatekeeper. Gatekeepers arguably have some down...so - it's a one pager, some video plus one pager; then watch the video arguably they have time and...engaged in that might make them want to then push it through to that actual DM. The other case would be we if already are talking to DM-- [fuck off] and then...they're like oh that's kind of cool like I see what they're doing there. I like, I feel like I connected with this guy today; I was like look your business...we're trying to build a business right now. Like we’re doing, like we’re going outbound [yes] and...like yeah, yeah, totally get it, totally respect it. ...step on the gas you know...on the gas [??? 4:01]

[There’s two things that like I mean we talked about…the growth hacking thing. I like one thing we talked about doing this -blog. [...do that this week, Monday] Yes, - we should probably put it out like one blog post and making that or a blog post for - vlog.]

Ryan: But that's not what we're talking about. I want to do that. [okay] The idea is what we want to do is we want to write a blog post basically like detailing why we're doing the blog and like all strategy about the blog. So it's like an article, it's like this is why we're vlogging or something like that you know where it's like it just tells the story versus like just be like this blog right here is just the actual like content of the vlog. But then we want to tell more of like the why in long-form writing so that then people can like share it and we can obviously like link to it and stuff like that. And so people can like read the story of the vlog inside of like a blog post that can then get like shared and then we'll get a bunch of links...but then also people can read the story. So we're calling it a blog vlog, the blog about the vlog that we're gonna post on our blog and then push out through the vlog. That make sense right? I should...the pages out like I'd really like to do price to page like I was largely slowly like migrate locations. Like if we get a features page I think that would be a huge help for convergence right. [??? 5:27] [...so that way it’s like the same….] Yeah it’s consistent. Already? [...9:44] ...last night. ...don’t have anything to eat, they took all the snacks away. There is goldfish here, here it’s gone. [there was fruits, there was bananas and oranges] No you know I actually have it in my Amazon like shopping cart. I'm going to get like snacks for our like table so I got like - bars and I think I'll get like - bars and like healthy stuff...like eat and we would keep it like at our table. So these guys can’t use it. Alright so we're out.
